Hot Link XL has the same Super Sensitive IR Eye as Hot Link Pro that can be hidden behind your plasma/LCD TV, speaker grill or cabinet door slot. With the Remote Power and Emitter Box, that can now be placed with your equipment over 200 feet away from the Eye, Confirmation LED and Main Box using Cat-5 Ethernet cable or phone cable with at least 4 wires. Reverse polarity of these two types of cables is not a problem with the Hot Link XL. It is designed with pin reversal in mind since phone cords are opposite pin to pin and Ethernet/Cat 5 cables are pin for pin.

The Hot Link XL IR Eye is so sensitive it does not need direct line of site and can in fact be hidden from view and still give you more freedom to roam with your remote controls. Our Super-Compatible IR Eye works with virtually all Plasma and LCD TVs, satellite and cable receivers and other AV gear. No need to select special IR receivers to fit difficult installations and no need to drill holes in expensive cabinets. Hot Link's IR Eye can be mounted on the back of flat panel displays, behind door slots, speaker grills, cabinets and wall plates without modification or under toe kicks and sub-woofer speakers. It is more than 4 times as sensitive than standard receiver targets and is broad band, eliminating the need for special receivers at different frequencies. Eye cable is 6 feet long, Emitters and Confirmation LED cables are 7 feet long. Cat-5 Jumper in box is 6 inches and can be changed to 200 feet.
A complete single box solution, Hot Link ProXL(TM) Remote Control Booster Systems comes complete with Power Supply, Main Amplifier Box and Remote Emitter/Power Entry box, 6 Emitters and Receiver Eye. The Receiver Eyes of all Hot Link(TM) models can be extended to 25 feet using RG6 adapted to RCA connections.
System Transparency: If your AV gear is hidden or remoted to another closet or room, Hot Link XL(TM) will allow you to control your gear using your existing remotes with no modifications, attachments, batteries, added radio noise, unsightly antennas or holes in fine furniture. Your installation is clean with nothing showing and your equipment can be remote controlled while completely hidden. If your equipment is struggling with poor performance with remotes, Hot Link(TM) Remote Control Booster Systems will boost the performance of your remotes up to 2 times or 70 feet.
